National Audubon Society Mourns the Loss of Adam Kolton

NEW YORK – The National Audubon Society recognizes the extraordinary life and work of Adam Kolton and extends our deepest condolences to his colleagues, family, and friends.

The following is a statement from David Yarnold, president and CEO, National Audubon Society:

“Adam Kolton was friend and colleague to me as well as Audubon staff and volunteers across the country.  We are stunned and heartbroken to hear of his passing. All of us who had the privilege of working with Adam over the years are saddened to lose such a steadfast advocate.

“As a birder, I can’t help but reflect on his tireless efforts to protect Alaska, home to some of the world’s most important bird nurseries. May his memory be a blessing that will live on in the beautiful places and wildlife he helped protect, for which we are forever grateful. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family, friends, and everyone at the Alaska Wilderness League and National Wildlife Federation.”
